Its Christmas. YEA!

Okay, in all truthfulness, the kids are still too young to have any idea what we were doing when we said "merry Christmas". They know what toys are tho......after a few moments of mass confusion, the normal fits of fighting over who's toy is what.....and eventually deciding on their own to share.....it was quite fun. I am glad to be blessed to live here this year and enjoy the kids.

Night Before Christmas

RL started a brand new family tradition. Coloring on newspaper so we can have enough paper to cover bigger gifts. We had fun! As the kids get older, we can probably do paint and sparkles and stuff. Or who knows.....just keep it simple and do colors. The whole idea was to do a family thing.....and we did.

Kevin and Tori

Two little cuties, don't you think?

Flutter

I got an email from Sammie last week....it appears her wee one is moving now. She got her first butterfly flutters.

How exciting, huh? Another one just growing away......will be with us soon........

Fiona or Gryphon.......Fiona or Gryphon???? Wonder what we will be blessed with this time???

Quiet on the homefront

RL took the kids down to visit in Houston. She left on Friday....it is now Sunday. It is so darn quiet without them around. I had no idea how fast I would learn to look forward to the kiddos. Even with all the noise and fighting that they do between themselves (what do you expect with a 4,3 and 2 year old??), I miss them. The pretty smiles and hugs they give me are so special.

I am thankful for this time in my life where I can be loved and give love to my grandkids.

Shane and Pappy

Going to the FRG meeting on Dec 13th, Shane rode with his Pappy.

Pappy related this story to me......

Shane was just rambling along as a 4 year old can do. They talk.....about anything......anytime. :)

Shane saw the moon.....and it was totally full. It fastinated him so much he just sat and stared at it the final part of the trip to the meeting.

Pappy enjoyed seeing him like that. Such wonder in his face and eyes.

Singing

We were on the way to RL's FRG meeting, last Tuesday (Dec 13).....Sandie and Kevin, RL and I were in one car......Shane rode with Pappy.

The two were fidgeting.....and kept saying "I love you very much". Now I like knowing how much the love me, don't get me wrong.....but you can only stand to hear the same statement about 2,365 times! .....so I started singing the itsy bitsy spider. RL started up too, of course. Surprise, surprise....Kevin sort of knows the words so he joined in as well as he could. Sandie got in the spirit of it all and made joyful noise. LOL

We proceeded to give Twinkle Twinkle Little Star a go. Yelp! He knows it too. :P He knows it well enough that I noticed him singing it quietly even after us adults had stopped.

My mom had sent some music CD's for Kevin's birthday. RL plays them for the kids to go to sleep with. I guess he has learned the words from the CDs.

It was just a neat experience and I wanted to share it.

Kids.....what do you do with them?

The kids are going crazy, I suspect. LOL

They won't listen....argue with every single thing.....no matter what it is. Shane is not eating.....I suspect he is ready to hit a growth spell. Kevin copies Shane.....and Sandie just turned two. That is all you need to know about her. Ha!

Patience....that is what it takes.......they grow out of this stage soon......thank goodness.

Whoo Hooo! New Baby is on the way!!

Its been busy around here.....with Bubba getting ready to leave for Iraq....Kevin's birthday a little early.....work and thing.......
But you know what? I found out a week ago.....I am going to have a brand new grandbaby to write and share about! Whoooooo Hooooo!
My oldest son, Daniel and his girlfriend, Sammie sent and email letting us know. She is about 4 months along. Due around April 19th, I think she wrote me. How exciting for them.....and us.
I told Mitchell (Pappy) to get ready to save up for plane tickets.....we will HAVE to go up to New York to check the baby out. hehehehehe
The names they picked out are: Fiona Lilly and Gryphon David. I sort of suggested they might want to spell Gryphon the regular way of Griffon.....it will be easier for the baby and for people to remember how to spell it. But you know how it goes.......they probably won't listen to me....Mom's never know anything! Ha!
Anyway, I am waiting to see a sonogram.....hopefully they will get one. They say they saw it last visit and it was sucking its thumb. I have to use the word "IT" only cause we are not sure of the sex yet. I will wager it is going to be a boy.....girls are few and very far between in Daniel's family.....and from what I hear, the same is true with Sammie. :)
More will be added as I learn things.
Proud Grammie to be.....for the 4th time!
